Reduce the Risk of Privacy Breaches
All patients have the right to expect their health care providers to keep personal health information confidential. Without this expectation of confidence, patients will not feel comfortable disclosing highly personal and sensitive health information. Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act provides that one must act "reasonably" - yet little instruction exists on what is and what is not reasonable.

You'll also learn how to improve your organization's policies and practices based on lessons drawn from other organizations that have suffered privacy breaches.
