    E. Patrick Shea

    E. Patrick Shea, B.A., LL.B., C.S., is a partner in Gowlings' Toronto office, practising in the area of commercial law with a particular focus on the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency.

    A certified specialist in bankruptcy and insolvency law, Mr. Shea has acted for a variety of clients in large corporate restructuring and insolvency matters in the entertainment, retail, automotive, airline, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other industrial sectors.

    Mr. Shea was an instructor for the business law and insolvency portions of the Bar Admission Course run by the Law Society of Upper Canada. He is a member of the Executive for the Ontario Bar Association's Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section and the Canadian Bar Association's National Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section, and was the vice chair and chair of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association's Insolvency Committee.

    Mr. Shea was a member of the Insolvency Experts panel created in connection with a study being carried out in China with respect to the reorganization of state-owned enterprises, and has advised the Canadian government on insolvency law reform.

    Yoine J. Goldstein

    Hon. Yoine J. Goldstein, B.A., B.C.L., D.E.C.D., D. de l'U., Ad.E., LL.D. (General Editor), is the senior legal consultant at McMillan LLP. Formerly a Canadian Senator, he has been elected a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, the Insolvency Institute of Canada and the American College of Trial Lawyers. He continues to be involved in major commercial restructurings, pleads commercial and bankruptcy cases at all court levels and continues to lecture and publish in the field of bankruptcy and insolvency.
