Janet Walker, B.A. (Hons), M.A., LL.B., D.Phil., is a leading authority on the conflict of laws. She teaches Conflict of Laws and International Commercial Arbitration at Osgoode Hall Law School. She has served as an International Advisor to the American Law Institute in its project with Unidroit to develop Transnational Principles and Rules of Civil Procedure (1998-2004), as a member of the Uniform Law Conference of Canada Committee on National Class Actions (2005-06), the IBA Task Force on International Procedures and Protocols for Collective Redress (2007-08) and the American Bar Association Litigation Section Working Group on Protocols for Parallel Class Actions (2007-10).
