Lorne Waldman, LL.B., LL.M., has practised principally in the area of immigration and refugee law since 1979, and also practises in Charter and administrative law litigation. One of Canada’s leading immigration lawyers, Mr. Waldman has appeared frequently at all levels of the courts in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal, where he has argued many of the leading cases in immigration and refugee law. He is also the author of numerous reference works, including Immigration Law and Practice, 2nd Edition, Canadian Immigration and Refugee Law Practice, 2012 Edition, and The Definition of Convention Refugee. He comments frequently in the media on immigration and national security matters.
