Colin H.H. McNairn is a leading expert in the law relating to the protection of privacy. He was a partner in the law firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP and subsequently served as vice chair and chair of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Financial Services Tribunal. He was also the co-author, with Christopher D. Woodbury, of the first edition of Government Information: Access and Privacy (looseleaf, 1989-2008) and of the first four editions of The Annotated Ontario Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Acts (1993-2005).
