James D. M. Frase, B.Sc. (Eng), LL.B., is a Partner with McLean Kerr LLP in Toronto. With over 30 years of experience in commercial leasing, Mr. Fraser's expertise includes all aspects of commercial leasing, including the offer to lease, negotiation of the lease, enforcement, and surrender of the lease. He is a long-time active member of the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) and has spoken at and been on the organizing committees of numerous conferences sponsored by ICSC. He has spoken on commercial leasing matters in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Mr. Fraser also practises in the area of municipal law and in matters related to land development. He has written on the topic of tenant's rights and remedies in a commercial lease, among other publications.
Lawrence H. Iron, P.Eng., LL.B., Q.C., is an associate counsel at the Toronto office of Miller Thompson LLP. With over 30 years of experience in commercial leasing, Mr. Iron counsels clients in all aspects of leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centres and has co-chaired numerous roundtables at ICSC conferences.
