    Edward N. Levitt


    Edward N. Levitt is a Senior Partner at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP and an acknowledged expert on franchise law in Canada. He has served as both Chairman of the legal and legislative committee and Special Counsel to the Canadian Franchise Association. He now acts as General Counsel to the Association. Mr. Levitt was involved in the drafting of the Ontario Regulations for Ontario’s recently passed franchising legislation, the Arthur Wishart Act (Franchise Disclosure), 2000. He is a member of the Ontario Government Franchise Sector Working Team. A prolific writer and frequent lecturer in the areas of franchising, licensing and distribution matters, Mr. Levitt is also the author of the Distribution of Goods and Services title in LexisNexis’ CF&P Commercial Transactions module.
