Tracey M. Bailey, B.A., LL.B., is Executive Director of the Health Law Institute at the University of Alberta. Ms. Bailey is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta, and the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre, as well as a sessional lecturer with the Faculty of Law, University of Alberta. She is a former Chair of the Canadian Bar Association's National Health Law Section.
Timothy Caulfield, B.Sc., LL.B., LL.M., F.R.S.C., is Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy; Professor, Faculty of Law and School of Public Health, University of Alberta; Research Director of the Health Law Institute, University of Alberta; and Senior Health Scholar, Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. Professor Caulfield's research has focused on two general areas: genetics, ethics and the law; and the legal implications of health care reform in Canada.
Nola M. Ries, B.A. (Hons.), LL.B., M.P.A., LL.M., is Research Associate with the Health Law Institute, University of Alberta and Adjunct Assistant Professor, University of Victoria, where she teaches health law in the Faculty of Law and School of Health Information Science. Her research focuses on public health law; health system reform; privacy of health information; and legal issues in genetics and biotechnology.
