Sheila Nemet-Brown, B.A. (Hons.), LL.B., is a product development editor for LexisNexis Canada. Donald J. Bourgeois, Hons. B.A. (History), LL.B., is one of Canada's leading authorities on charities and not-for-profit organizations. In June of 2008, he was awarded the AMS/John Hodgson Award by the Ontario Bar Association in recognition of his leadership, development of the law, and service in the charitable arena. Mr. Bourgeois is Counsel on charitable law matters to Carters Professional Corporation, a law firm specializing in charitable and not-for-profit law, and he is General Counsel and Director of Legal Services for the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. He has written extensively on the topic of charity and not-for-profit law, including The Law of Charitable and Not-for-Profit Organizations, Charities and Not-for-Profit Fundraising Handbook, Charities and Not-for-Profit Administration and Governance Handbook and Public Law in Canada. Mr. Bourgeois is also General Editor for Butterworths^® and Imagine Canada on Charities and Not-for-Profit Organizations and Past Editor of Charitable Thoughts for the Charity and Not-For-Profit Law Section Newsletter of the Ontario Bar Association.
